Summer Reading 2026
Kick off Summer Reading 2026 with library friends and community partners at our Legendary Party at Ephram White Park (885 Mount Olivet Rd) Thursday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.!
The event will feature meet and greets with Toothless the Dragon, a petting zoo, Feller Express dinosaurs, music by The Flying Frogs, a foam party (where you will get wet), and loads of community partner activity booths.
Summer Reading: May 18-August 1
Summer Reading officially begins May 18 and runs through August 1. The 11-week program hosted by WCPL is designed to engage individuals & families in activities all summer long! The goal is to prevent the “educational slide” that can occur in school-aged children during breaks. We also strive to promote community engagement and familial bonding through interactive programs provided during the summer months.
