Meeting Rooms

Please read the Meeting Room Policy before submitting a request.


Who May Use the Library Meeting Rooms: Any club or community group of persons meeting for non-profit purposes may request and be assigned use of library facilities, provided the proper request has been made and recorded with the designated library staff member(s). Eligible groups include:

  • Civic organizations
  • Social clubs whose intent is educational or cultural in nature
  • Academic classes or study groups
  • Professional or honorary groups
  • Organized school or academic groups which have a civic interest or goal
  • Groups meeting for non-profit purposes

All meetings are open to the public. The library staff reserves the right to enter meeting rooms at any time.

Who May Not Use the Library Meeting Rooms: The library meeting rooms may not be used by:

  • Any group meeting for a profitable reason
  • Any group meeting for social or personal reasons, such as parties, family reunions, weddings, receptions, etc.
  • Any group which has proven unsatisfactory for any reason during prior use

Requests for meeting room use may be denied if the hours of use are unsatisfactory to the planned operating hours of the library or if the noise from the activity planned would disturb the normal library operations and use by library customers.

No admission or attendance charge is to be made unless the library is serving as a sponsor, and funds from the attendance are necessary and announced in advance in order to provide the necessary gratuities or matching funds required to produce the program.


Meeting Room Locations:

Main Library: Located in Bowling Green at 1225 State Street. The room provides chair seating for a maximum of 26 persons and features board table seating for 14. Ideal for committee meetings and planning sessions, it is equipped with wireless internet access as well as a television and a DVD player. A dry-erase board, projection screen, as well as a kitchenette with a sink and small refrigerator. Light refreshments may be brought in and served in this room.

Bob Kirby Branch: Located in Bowling Green at 175 Iron Skillet Court, behind Culver’s restaurant. This room can be set up audience style for max seating of 300.  This large conference room can be divided into three smaller rooms to accommodate groups of any size.  The room is equipped with wireless internet access, multiple overhead projectors, built-in screens, wireless microphones, tables and chairs, as well as a podium if needed. Laptops are available upon request and can be used with the overhead projectors. The laptops are equipped with Microsoft Office and have the ability to play CDs or DVDs.

This site also has a kitchen area equipped with a fridge, freezer, sink, and dishwasher. Light refreshments may be brought in and served.

The room is also equipped with a T-coil (Telecoil) system. However, the T-coil system is only available when walls between all three rooms are open.

Smiths Grove Branch:  Located in Smiths Grove at 115 Second Street.  The room provides audience seating for a maximum of 24 persons. Classroom style, the room can be set up for with four tables and seats three per table (seating for 12).

The room is equipped with wireless internet access as well as a television, projection screen, CD player, and a sink. Light refreshments may be brought in and served in this room.

Graham Drive Community Library:  Located in Bowling Green at 305 Graham Drive, close to the Boys & Girls Club.  This small branch has a room with three tables and 15 chairs.

The room is equipped with wireless internet access, a mounted TV with DVD player, and a refrigerator. Light refreshments may be brought in and served in this room.

  • Please submit requests at least 10 days before your event date. If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, contact us directly. Each group may have only three active reservations on the calendar at one time.
