Purchased by Warren Fiscal Court in 1998, the library's 40-foot mobile branch hit the road in the summer of 1999. With special permission from cartoonist Jim Davis, the library employs the famous feline Garfield as a mobile billboard promoting the pleasures of reading on the branch's exterior. The library on wheels visits five rural areas of Warren County each week, providing a collection of nearly 6,000 non-fiction, fiction and audio-visual materials and offering limited library services.
