How can I reserve a meeting room? Both the Main Library and the Bob Kirby Branch have meeting rooms that can be reserved using the Meeting Room Reservation form. Please read the Meeting Room Policies before submitting a reservation request.
How can I show my art at the library? The Warren County Public Library offers local artists two distinct venues for displaying their art. The Porter Cafe Gallery is in the Main Library while a smaller, but still visible area is located in the Bob Kirby Branch (information on both of these locations can be found on the Art at the Library page). If you are an artist living in this area, and are interested in showcasing your art, contact Jayne Pelaski at 782-0252 ext 207 or email jaynep@warrenpl.org.
How can I find out about employment opportunities at WCPL? Job opportunities at the library as well as downloadable applications can be found on the Employment Opportunities page of the web site. Current job openings will be posted there as well as on other professional websites and publications. Applications can be submitted in person at any WCPL location. Students who are eligible for work/study through WKU can also find applications on the Employment Opportunities page.
Can I ask a librarian a question from home or work?
Yes! If you have a brief, factual question, you can send an email to a librarian to get an answer. If you need your answer right away, please call the Reference Desk at 781-4882 x215.
How can I find answers to my research questions?
Search an online database to find genealogy information, standardized tests guides and practice tests (ex.: ACT, GED, etc.), full text articles for research projects, college application information and more with the library's selection of databases. Some databases must be used in the library because of copyright issues. Check the database list for details. There are several other ways you can get answers to research questions, though. Check out our Research Help page. There you'll find a form for contacting a librarian here at WCPL and a link to Ask Why KY from which you can find answers from librarians across Kentucky.
Can I search Warren County Public Library's catalog from home or work?
Definitely! Use the library's catalog to find items available in the library. You can also search many of our databases from home.
Who can use the library's computers?
Out-of-town guests and current patrons may access the library's computers. View our computer use policy for more information.
How can I get a library card?

Where are your library locations?
We have several. The library's hub is the Main Library. In addition, there are three permanent branch locations and a Mobile Branch,
which travels throughout the county on a weekly rotation. Check here
for location information.
How long may I check out materials?
- Books - (no limit on books within the 50 items total per card) 2 weeks
- Audio-books (maximum--20 per card) - 2 weeks
- Music CDs (maximum--10 per card) - 2 weeks
- DVDs (maximum--10 per card) - 2 weeks
- Magazines (maximum--10 per card) - 2 weeks
- Digital Catalog titles (maximum 10 per card) - option of 7 or 14 days
NOTE: Total items checked out may not exceed 50.
How do I find out when my materials are due?
Can I place a hold on the latest best-seller?
You can check your library account to verify due dates and place holds via the WCPL online catalog. New titles are being added daily, so if you know your favorite author is going to release a new title, you can put a request on it as soon as it's in the catalog, which is often weeks ahead of the release date.
May I renew items?
Books, audio books, and music CDs on loan may be renewed three times unless a hold request has been placed on it. DVDs, VHS, and digital titles may not be renewed.
How do I renew items?
If an item can be renewed (*see NOTE below), you can renew it in person, by phone "Telecirc" access: call 781.2924) , or on the Internet using the WCPL online catalog.
To renew an item using the online catalog:
1. Go to "Access Patron Information" (note: password is last 4 digits of phone number in your account)
2. Click on the library catalog link.
3. Click the middle tab called "My Account"
3. You will be prompted for your library card barcode number.
4. Click "Items Out," Do one of these options:
- Click in the Renew box beside each title to mark the ones you want to renew, and click Renew Selected.
- Click Renew All.
5. Click Logout when you are finished in the Patron Information section.
*NOTE: You may be unable to renew items if you have blocks against your card due to fines. Additionally, an item with a hold request made by another patron may not be renewed.
What is the overdue charge for late materials? There is a 10-cent charge per day per item on all overdue materials.
Where can I find information about Bowling Green and Warren County?
The city of Bowling Green, KY has a website that's filled with local and county information.
How can I join the Online Book Club? Access the Online Book Club page.
How can I join BookNews and receive the Newsletter? Access the BookNews page.
Can I recommend the library purchase an item for the collection? Certainly! Please check to make sure we don't have the item in our catalog before filing a request, but you can recommend items to be added to the library collection via a form you can acquire at any library location's circulation desk or by completing this online form.
How can I honor or memorialize a special person or loved one? Our Memorial Form, available at all locations and also here in PDF form, enables you to donate money that will be used to purchase an item for the collection. A memorial book plate will be placed inside the front cover of the item. While you may not be able to select exact titles for memorial items, you can give suggestions for general subjects or areas of interest. Another way to memorialize or honor a person is through our Brick Paver Project. Personalized bricks can be purchased and added to the garden in the parking lot of the Main Library on State Street. The purchase and personalization form can be printed from the Buy a Brick page on our website.
